About Us

Who we are

Rotary for Little Hearts is a formidable team of passionate Rotarians, united by a common purpose under the capable leadership of District Governor Sushena Ranatunga.


The project is led by 3 prestigious clubs in Sri Lanka that have a long term engagement and relationship with the Lady Ridgeway Hospital; Rotary Clubs of Colombo Metropolitan, Colombo Fort & Colombo West.


Past President and Child Heart Warrior Dinali Dandeniya serves as Chair of this project, she is honoured to lead our collective efforts aimed at achieving a significant milestone: raising a substantial sum of US$1 million.


We understand that the magnitude of this goal necessitates the support and collaboration of like-minded individuals and organizations. We recognize that Rotary, at its core, thrives on partnerships, and we actively seek your involvement in our mission to make a lasting impact on the critical care complex of Lady Ridgeway.

Our Goal

Our goal is to raise US$1 Million thru Rotary District 3220 Sri Lanka & Maldives

The primary objective of the Little Hearts Children’s Hospital project is to expand paediatric cardiac care and intensive care services at LRH. This will involve: Increasing ICU Capacity: Expanding the number of ICU beds to meet international standards. Enhancing Surgical Facilities: Increasing the capacity for cardiac surgeries and interventions. Reducing Mortality Rates: Ensuring timely and adequate treatment for children with heart disease and critical illnesses, thereby reducing the infant mortality rate.

Supporting Sustainable Development Goals: Contributing to the UN’s SDG No. 3 to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages.

A future where every child in Sri Lanka receives timely, compassionate, and world-class cardiac care, enabling them to lead healthy and fulfilling lives, with Rotary International as a committed partner in securing a brighter future for Sri Lanka's children.
   Mission Statement
To enhance pediatric cardiac care in Sri Lanka by expanding medical facilities, improving access to life-saving treatments, and providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services free of charge. In partnership with Rotary International, we are committed to reducing childhood mortality, advancing medical knowledge, and supporting the well-being of children and their families.
