Little Hearts
Little Hearts is a national fundraising initiative dedicated to constructing a Cardiac and Critical Care Complex at Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital. Founded by concerned citizens of Sri Lanka with the support of the Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians, this project aims to expedite the development of the hospital’s Cardiac and Critical Care Complex. This facility will ensure timely and essential treatment for all children in need. Recognized as a national priority and approved by the government, the Cardiac and Critical Care Complex is a pivotal step towards enhancing paediatric healthcare in Sri Lanka.

For over a decade, Rotarians in Sri Lanka have been dedicated to alleviating the overwhelming workload, long waiting lists, and immense pressure at Lady Ridgeway Hospital. Through large-scale projects, Rotary has significantly impacted the lives of children born with congenital heart disease. By fast-tracking child heart surgeries in private hospitals, facilitating complex surgeries overseas, and providing advanced training for doctors and nurses in paediatric care and emerging technologies, Rotary has played a crucial role in improving the quality of healthcare and ensuring timely treatment for countless young patients.
